• Sit quietly for 5 minutes. Ensure the adult cuff is placed correctly on your bare upper arm, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) above the elbow crease, with the artery indicator aligned. The cuff should be snug but not too tight. — Prepare for Measurement
• Close the screw-type deflation valve on the inflation bulb by turning it clockwise. Squeeze the bulb rhythmically to inflate the cuff until the gauge reads approximately 30 mmHg above your expected systolic pressure. — Inflate the Cuff
• Slowly open the deflation valve by turning it counter-clockwise to release air at a controlled rate (about 2-3 mmHg per second). Note the systolic pressure when you hear the first pulse and the diastolic pressure when the pulse disappears. — Deflate and Record
• Once deflation is complete, remove the cuff. Record your readings. Store the sphygmomanometer and cuff in the included zippered carrying case to protect it for future use. — Finalize and Store
