• Ensure the adult cuff is properly attached to the inflation bulb and tube. Place the cuff on the patient's bare upper arm, about 2-3 cm above the elbow crease, with the artery indicator aligned over the brachial artery. — Prepare the Cuff
• Close the screw-type deflation valve by turning it clockwise. Squeeze the inflation bulb rhythmically to inflate the cuff until the needle on the gauge reaches approximately 30 mmHg above the expected systolic pressure. — Inflate the Cuff
• Slowly open the deflation valve by turning it counter-clockwise to release air at a controlled rate (about 2-3 mmHg per second). Listen for the pulse with a stethoscope and note the systolic (first sound) and diastolic (sound disappears) pressures on the gauge. — Deflate and Read
• Record the blood pressure reading. Once deflated, remove the cuff. Store the sphygmomanometer and accessories in the included zippered carrying case for protection and portability. — Record and Store
