What is the primary advantage of needle roller bearings over standard ball bearings?

Needle roller bearings, like the uxcell AXK0821, offer a significantly higher radial load-carrying capacity within a much smaller radial cross-section compared to standard ball bearings. This makes them ideal for compact mechanical assemblies, gearboxes, automotive transmissions, and rocker arms where radial space is limited, providing robust performance in tight configurations.

Can a needle roller bearing be installed directly on a machine shaft without an inner ring?

Yes, many needle roller bearing assemblies are designed to use the hardened machine shaft directly as the inner raceway, saving critical radial space. However, the shaft surface must be precision-ground, polished, and induction-hardened to at least 58–64 HRC to prevent rapid mechanical wear and ensure optimal bearing life. The uxcell AXK0821 set includes washers for applications where the shaft is not hardened.

What are the load capacities and speed limits for the uxcell AXK0821 bearings?

The uxcell AXK0821 thrust needle roller bearings have a static load capacity of 19kN and a dynamic load capacity of 7.75kN. They are rated for a maximum rotational speed of 15000 RPM when lubricated with oil, making them suitable for many industrial and automotive applications requiring high axial load support.

Are these uxcell bearings suitable for dusty or humid Indian environments?

For dusty or humid Indian manufacturing environments, it is recommended to use sealed bearing variants or establish strict re-lubrication intervals with appropriate grease to prevent contamination and wear. The uxcell AXK0821 is an open-type bearing, best suited for applications with continuous oil lubrication or in cleaner environments. Consider sealed alternatives if dust ingress is a significant concern.

What is the difference between static and dynamic load capacity for these bearings?

Static load capacity (19kN for AXK0821) refers to the maximum load the bearing can withstand without permanent deformation when stationary. Dynamic load capacity (7.75kN) is the load under which the bearing can operate continuously with a calculated fatigue life. For applications involving movement, dynamic load capacity is the critical factor.

What is the recommended lubrication for uxcell AXK0821 thrust needle roller bearings?

The uxcell AXK0821 bearings are designed for oil lubrication, with a limiting speed of 15000 RPM under such conditions. Proper lubrication is essential to reduce friction, dissipate heat, and prevent premature wear. Ensure the chosen lubricant is compatible with the operating temperature and load conditions of your specific application.

How do these bearings compare to local Indian alternatives in terms of performance?

These imported uxcell bearings offer precise engineering and verified load capacities, often exceeding those found in generic local alternatives. While local options may be cheaper, they may not match the material quality, load ratings, or dimensional accuracy required for critical industrial applications. Sourcing from authorized US partners ensures you receive a product built to international standards.

Why choose this product

Engineered for Precision and Durability

These uxcell thrust needle roller bearings are built with hardened chromium steel rollers and a robust steel cage, designed to withstand heavy axial loads and peak stresses. Their compact axial profile makes them indispensable for applications where space is at a premium, such as in automotive transmissions, robotics, and high-stress industrial machinery. The inclusion of polished steel washers ensures proper raceway function, even when integrated components are not suitable. This precision engineering guarantees reliable performance and extended service life, outperforming generic alternatives in critical applications.

Ideal for Compact Industrial & Automotive Use

These bearings are perfect for engineers and mechanics working on compact machinery, automotive components, and robotics in India. They excel in applications requiring high radial stiffness and axial load support where standard ball bearings would be too bulky. While suitable for general industrial use, users with extremely high-speed applications or those requiring continuous grease lubrication might consider specialized sealed bearings. For typical industrial settings, these offer a robust, cost-effective solution.

How to use

Prepare the Shaft and Housing — Ensure the machine shaft or housing surface intended to act as a raceway is precision-ground, polished, and hardened to at least 58-64 HRC. If using the provided washers, ensure they are correctly seated and the shaft/housing surfaces are clean and smooth.
Install Bearings and Washers — Carefully place the needle roller thrust bearing assembly onto the prepared shaft or between the washers. Ensure the bearing is correctly oriented to handle axial loads in one direction. If using washers, place one on each side of the bearing assembly.
Apply Lubrication — Apply a suitable oil lubricant to the bearing and raceways before operation. For optimal performance and to achieve the 15000 RPM limiting speed, ensure continuous oil lubrication is maintained throughout the bearing's operational life.
Mount Adjacent Components — Assemble the surrounding machine components, ensuring they do not interfere with the bearing's operation. Verify that the load is applied axially and within the specified static (19kN) and dynamic (7.75kN) load capacities.
