How do I know which glove size to choose for an infielder?

Most adult infielders utilize glove patterns ranging from 11.25 to 11.75 inches. Second basemen and shortstops generally favor 11.25 to 11.5-inch gloves with shallow pockets for swift double-play transfers, while third basemen often prefer 11.75-inch models for extra reach and pocket depth against hard-hit line drives. This 12.5" model is specifically designed for first base.

What is the difference between Right Hand Throw and Left Hand Throw?

Glove orientation is designated by the hand used to throw the ball. A Right Hand Throw (RHT) glove fits on the left hand, allowing your dominant right hand to throw. A Left Hand Throw (LHT) glove fits on the right hand for players who throw with their left hand. This Rawlings Renegade glove is an LHT model.

Is this Rawlings Renegade glove safe for young players?

Yes, this glove is designed for adult recreational play and is suitable for youth players aged 10-13. It features cushioned palm and index finger pads for impact protection and comfort, making it a safe choice for developing players learning the game.

How long does it take to break in this Rawlings glove?

The Rawlings Renegade glove is 90% factory broken-in, meaning it's game-ready right out of the box with minimal player break-in required. This allows players to use it effectively from the first game without a lengthy conditioning period.

How to buy an original Rawlings Renegade glove in India?

Can I use this glove for outfield play?

While this 12.5" glove is primarily designed for first base, its size and pocket depth might be adaptable for some outfield positions. However, dedicated outfield gloves typically offer larger sizes and different web patterns for better ball security on fly balls.

What is the quality of the leather used in this glove?

The Rawlings Renegade glove features a leather shell palm for durability and shape retention, providing a pro-feel. It's designed to withstand regular play and maintain its form over time, offering good quality for recreational and youth players.
