How do I know which glove size to choose for an infielder?

For young infielders aged 3-6, a 9-inch glove like the Rawlings Remix is ideal. This size offers a shallow pocket and lightweight feel, perfect for quick transfers and learning basic catching. For older youth or competitive play, consider larger sizes (11.25" and up) with different web patterns suited for specific positions.

What is the difference between Right Hand Throw and Left Hand Throw?

A Right Hand Throw (RHT) glove fits on the left hand, allowing a player who throws with their right hand to catch. Conversely, a Left Hand Throw (LHT) glove fits on the right hand for players who throw with their left hand. This Rawlings Remix glove is for Right Hand Throw.

Is this Rawlings Remix glove suitable for competitive baseball leagues?

The Rawlings Remix T-Ball glove is designed for beginners aged 3-5 learning the fundamentals. While durable for backyard play, it is not intended for competitive leagues or older youth players who require specialized gloves for higher-level play and specific positions.

How do I maintain a leather baseball glove in India's climate?

To maintain your leather glove in India's humid climate, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use silica gel packets inside the glove to absorb moisture. Periodically apply a leather conditioner to keep the material supple and prevent cracking or mold.

How to choose a baseball glove for a 4-year-old?

For a 4-year-old beginner, a 9-inch youth T-ball glove like the Rawlings Remix is recommended. It's lightweight, easy to close, and designed for small hands, making it perfect for learning basic catching skills in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Ideal For First-Time Players, Not For Advanced Youth

This glove is perfectly suited for children aged 3-5 who are just beginning to learn baseball or softball. Its lightweight construction and easy-to-close design make it ideal for developing basic catching skills. Players seeking a glove for competitive leagues, older youth (6+ years), or specific positions like pitcher or catcher should consider larger, more specialized models.

How to use

Wear the Glove — Place the glove on your non-throwing hand (left hand for right-handed throwers). Ensure it fits snugly but comfortably, allowing for natural movement of your fingers.
Practice Closing — Gently close your fingers around the glove's pocket. The soft shell and basket web are designed to help you easily scoop up ground balls and catch fly balls.
Fielding Grounders — Position yourself behind the ball, keeping your eye on it. Use the glove to scoop the ball into the pocket, then quickly close your fingers around it to secure the catch.
Catching Fly Balls — Track the ball's trajectory into the glove. Extend your glove towards the ball and close it firmly upon contact to prevent it from bouncing out.
