Seal Critical Automotive Systems Reliably
Permatex Thread Sealant with PTFE provides an economical, general-purpose solution for sealing fittings and resisting pressure in critical automotive systems. Unlike tapes or pipe dopes, this sealant remains pliable across a wide temperature spectrum, from -65°F to 300°F, ensuring reliable performance in demanding conditions. It effectively seals air, oil, diesel fuel, and hydraulic systems, making it suitable for air conditioning, temperature sending, and hydraulic fittings. This pack includes 12 individual 1 oz. tubes, offering excellent value and convenience for multiple applications.
The PTFE formulation ensures it resists common shop fluids, maintaining seal integrity even when exposed to oils and fuels. Its ability to stay pliable means it won't crack or degrade under temperature fluctuations common in engine bays or hydraulic lines. This makes it a dependable choice for mechanics and DIY enthusiasts seeking a robust sealing solution that offers long-lasting performance and prevents leaks effectively.
For Indian mechanics, this imported Permatex sealant offers a reliable alternative to local options, ensuring consistent performance in varied climates. All customs duties and GST are included in the listed price, with delivery via ExpressBox tracked shipping. Get authentic USA-sourced quality for your automotive sealing needs.
Engineered for Extreme Conditions
Permatex Thread Sealant with PTFE is specifically formulated to withstand the rigors of automotive systems. Its unique PTFE composition ensures it remains pliable across a broad temperature range, from the freezing cold of high-altitude regions to the intense heat of Indian summer engine bays. This pliability is crucial for maintaining a leak-proof seal under pressure and vibration. Unlike standard tapes that can degrade or loosen, this sealant actively resists common shop fluids like engine oil and diesel fuel, providing dependable protection for critical components such as air conditioning fittings, temperature sending units, and hydraulic lines. Trust in a product engineered for performance where it matters most.
Who It's For & Who Should Skip
This sealant is ideal for automotive mechanics, DIY car enthusiasts, and anyone needing to seal threaded fittings in air, oil, diesel fuel, and hydraulic systems. It's perfect for applications requiring resistance to common shop fluids and a wide temperature range. Skip if you need a sealant for high-pressure brake lines or fuel injection systems, as those may require specialized, higher-performance formulations. Also, consider a different product if you require a sealant that cures to a rigid plastic; this product remains pliable.
