Seal Critical Automotive Systems Reliably
Permatex Thread Sealant with PTFE provides an economical, general-purpose solution for sealing fittings and resisting pressure in critical systems like air, oil, diesel fuel, and hydraulics. Unlike traditional tapes and pipe dopes, this sealant offers enhanced performance and durability. Its unique formulation ensures it remains pliable across a wide temperature range, from -65°F (-54°C) to 300°F (149°C), and effectively resists common shop fluids, making it reliable for demanding automotive applications.
This thread sealant is specifically suggested for air conditioning fittings, temperature sending fittings, and hydraulic fittings. Its PTFE content enhances sealing capabilities, preventing leaks and maintaining system integrity under pressure. The 1 oz (29.57 ml) size is convenient for various repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring you have the right amount for precise application without waste. The product is classified as flammable and an irritant, requiring appropriate handling precautions.
For Indian customers, this USA-imported Permatex sealant offers a high-performance alternative to local options, ensuring reliability in diverse automotive conditions. All customs duties and GST are included in the listed price, with delivery via ExpressBox tracked shipping. Ensure proper ventilation during application and allow for full cure before exposing to system fluids.
Engineered for Performance and Durability
Permatex Thread Sealant with PTFE leverages Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) to create a superior seal that withstands pressure in critical automotive systems. Unlike basic tapes, this formula remains pliable across a broad temperature spectrum, from frigid conditions to engine heat, ensuring a reliable seal. It actively resists common shop fluids, preventing degradation and maintaining system integrity. This USA-sourced product is manufactured to stringent standards, offering a level of performance and durability often sought by mechanics and DIY enthusiasts for critical repairs. All customs duties and GST are pre-paid, ensuring a transparent landed cost for Indian buyers.
Ideal for Automotive Fittings, Not for General Household Use
This sealant is specifically formulated for automotive applications like air conditioning fittings, temperature sending fittings, and hydraulic fittings. It is best suited for threaded metal connections where pressure resistance and fluid compatibility are paramount. Individuals seeking a general-purpose household sealant for plumbing or construction should consider products designed for those specific environments, as this automotive-grade sealant may not be ideal for non-automotive porous surfaces or may require specific cure conditions. Always ensure adequate ventilation during application and cure.
