Will these FLEOR single coil pickups fit my electric guitar?

Fitment depends on your guitar's headstock layout and existing pickup configuration. These pickups are designed for ST/SQ style electric guitars with a standard 52mm pole spacing. Ensure your guitar is compatible with a 3-pickup single-coil setup before purchasing. Check the dimensions and spacing against your current pickups for a guaranteed fit.

What is the difference between Alnico 5 magnets and other magnet types in guitar pickups?

Alnico 5 magnets are known for producing a balanced tone with good output, clarity, and sustain, making them versatile for various genres like blues, rock, and country. Compared to Alnico 2 (warmer, smoother) or ceramic magnets (higher output, more aggressive), Alnico 5 offers a well-rounded sound profile that is often considered a standard for single-coil pickups.

How do the resistance (K) values affect the sound of these pickups?

Pickup resistance, measured in kilohms (K), generally correlates with output and tone. The neck and middle pickups at 6-7K offer brighter, clearer tones suitable for rhythm playing. The bridge pickup at 7-8K has a slightly higher output, providing more bite and sustain for lead work, while still maintaining the characteristic single-coil clarity.

The staggered pole pieces and specific resistance values are engineered for balanced output and clarity across all strings, making them a reliable choice for musicians seeking to upgrade their instrument's sound. Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip It

This pickup set is ideal for guitarists playing ST/SQ style electric guitars who want to achieve classic single-coil tones with good clarity and balanced output. It's perfect for blues, rock, and country music styles. Players seeking a hotter, high-output humbucker sound or those with guitars requiring a different pickup configuration (e.g., P90, humbucker) should look elsewhere. Ensure your guitar has standard 52mm pole spacing and is compatible with single-coil pickups.

How to use

Prepare for Installation — Carefully unpack the FLEOR pickup set. Identify the neck, middle, and bridge pickups. Gather the included screws and springs. Ensure your electric guitar is unplugged and safely supported.
Mount the Pickups — Remove the old pickups if replacing. Position the new FLEOR pickups in the correct pickup cavities (neck, middle, bridge). Use the provided screws and springs to secure each pickup, adjusting height for desired tone.
Wire the Pickups — Connect the pickup wires to your guitar's volume and tone controls according to a wiring diagram suitable for a 3-single-coil pickup configuration. Solder connections securely.
Test and Adjust — Plug your guitar into an amplifier. Test each pickup position and adjust pickup height for optimal string balance and tone. Fine-tune volume and tone controls for your desired sound.
