How do I measure my window accurately for inside mount vs outside mount horizontal blinds?

For an inside mount, measure the exact interior width of the window casing at the top, middle, and bottom, using the narrowest measurement, while verifying the frame has at least 2 to 3 inches of depth. For an outside mount, measure the outer width and height of the window trim or opening and add 3 to 4 inches to each dimension to ensure complete light blockage and side privacy coverage. Jlong shades can be trimmed to fit.

Are cordless horizontal blinds easy to operate and safe for homes with children?

Yes, Jlong cordless pleated shades are easy to operate and safe. They use a simple adhesive mount and include clips for height adjustment, eliminating dangling cords. This makes them ideal for homes with children and pets, preventing potential hazards. The cordless design ensures a clean and safe window treatment.

Can I use these Jlong blinds in humid Indian bathrooms or kitchens?

These Jlong blinds are rated waterproof and have a reflective backing that helps regulate temperature. While suitable for bathrooms and kitchens, prolonged direct exposure to extreme humidity or water may affect the adhesive over time. For best results, ensure good ventilation and avoid direct water spray. They are more resistant to moisture than paper blinds.

How do I install these Jlong no-drill window shades?

Installation is straightforward: 1. Wipe your window or door frame clean. 2. Measure your window and cut the blinds to the required size. 3. Peel the double-sided tape on the back of the blind and paste it firmly to the window frame. No tools or drills are needed.

What is the difference between light filtering and blackout blinds?

Light filtering blinds, like these Jlong shades, allow some natural light to pass through while providing privacy and blocking UV rays. Blackout blinds are designed to block nearly all light, creating a dark environment. These Jlong shades offer a comfortable light filtering effect, not complete darkness.

How do I clean and maintain my Jlong pleated paper shades?

Jlong pleated paper shades are designed for easy maintenance and are spot clean only. Gently wipe any dust or marks with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, as this can damage the material or the adhesive backing. They are best suited for temporary or light-use applications.
