• Prepare the Ink Cartridge — Uncap the fountain pen. Insert an ink cartridge firmly into the pen's ink feed until it clicks into place. Alternatively, fill the ink converter with bottled ink and then attach it to the feed.
• Prime the Nib — Hold the pen nib-down over a piece of scrap paper or a cloth. Gently tap the pen to encourage ink flow into the feed. You may need to wait a few moments for the ink to reach the nib.
• Write and Maintain — Begin writing. For best results, use on quality paper to prevent ink bleed-through. Store the pen with the cap on when not in use to prevent drying. Clean the nib and feed periodically with water for optimal performance.
