• Remove Old Strings — Carefully remove the old strings from your electric bass guitar one at a time to maintain neck tension. Loosen each string until it is slack, then unwind it from the tuning post and bridge.
• Install New Strings — Thread the new DR Strings PURE BLUES through the bridge and up to the tuning post. Ensure the ball end is securely seated in the bridge. Wind the string evenly around the tuning post, leaving a few wraps for stability.
• Tune and Stretch — Tune the strings to your desired pitch. As you tune, gently stretch each string by pulling it away from the fretboard. Retune as needed, as new strings will stretch and settle over time.
• Trim Excess String — Once tuned and stretched, trim any excess string length from the tuning post to prevent interference with other strings or tuning stability. Ensure a clean cut for safety.
