Power Your Legacy Drives with Modern SATA
The StarTech.com 6-inch SATA to LP4 Power Adapter Cable (LP4SATAFM6IN) is designed to bridge the gap between modern SATA power connectors and older IDE/LP4 devices. This black cable features a female LP4 connector and a male SATA power connector, enabling you to power IDE hard drives or other LP4 devices directly from a SATA power supply. It's a practical solution for upgrading older computer systems or integrating legacy components into newer builds without needing a new power supply.
Constructed with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) insulation and a Copper conductor, this cable ensures reliable power delivery. The 6-inch length provides a compact connection, ideal for internal computer builds where cable management is crucial. It allows SATA power supplies to efficiently power IDE hard drives, offering flexibility for system builders and IT professionals.
For Indian customers, this cable offers a straightforward way to connect older storage devices. All customs duties and GST are included in the listed price, and delivery is handled via ExpressBox for tracked transit. The product comes with a lifetime warranty from StarTech.com.
Bridge Legacy and Modern Hardware
This adapter cable is essential for integrating older IDE hard drives or other LP4 devices into newer computer systems that only feature SATA power connectors. It eliminates the need for bulky adapters or replacing perfectly functional legacy drives. The 6-inch length ensures a clean internal build, while the durable PVC and Copper construction guarantees reliable power delivery. StarTech.com's lifetime warranty provides confidence in its longevity. For Indian users, importing this specific adapter means accessing a reliable solution for hardware compatibility, with all duties and taxes pre-paid for a transparent purchase.
Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip
This cable is ideal for PC builders, IT technicians, or hobbyists needing to connect an IDE/LP4 device to a SATA power supply. It's perfect for upgrading older computers or repurposing legacy drives. Skip this if you are looking to connect a SATA drive to an IDE power connector (this adapter works the other way around) or if your power supply already has sufficient SATA connectors for all your devices.
