Power Your Legacy Components
The StarTech.com SATA to LP4 15 Pin Power Adapter Cable (LP4SATAFM) is designed to bridge the gap between older hardware and newer power supplies. This black, 2-inch cable allows you to connect a legacy LP4 device, such as an older hard drive, to a standard SATA power connector found on most modern computer power supplies. It's a straightforward solution for system upgrades or custom PC builds where compatibility is key.
This adapter features a male SATA power connector on one end and a female LP4 (4-pin Molex) power connector on the other. It's constructed with a plastic outer material and is RoHS compliant, ensuring it meets environmental standards. The cable is rated for 65 watts and 5 volts, suitable for powering various internal components. Its compact 2-inch length makes it easy to manage in tight computer cases.
For Indian customers, this adapter offers a reliable way to reuse older components or ensure compatibility during PC builds. All customs duties and GST are included in the listed price, and delivery is handled via ExpressBox with tracking. Get the necessary connectivity for your hardware setup without hassle.
Bridge Legacy and Modern Hardware
This StarTech.com adapter is engineered to solve a common compatibility issue: connecting older LP4-powered devices to newer systems that only offer SATA power connectors. It's a simple, effective solution for PC builders and upgraders. Unlike generic adapters, StarTech.com is known for reliable connectivity solutions, ensuring your components receive stable power. This specific adapter is designed for straightforward plug-and-play use, requiring no software or complex installation. It's a durable, black, 2-inch cable built to last.
Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip
This adapter is perfect for anyone needing to connect an older Molex (LP4) powered device, like a hard drive or fan, to a power supply that only has SATA power connectors. It's ideal for custom PC builds, upgrading older systems, or troubleshooting power connections. You should skip this if your device already uses a SATA power connector or if you need to connect a device that requires a different type of power input. It is not designed for external power applications or non-computer components.
