Expand Your PC Storage Effortlessly
StarTech.com 12in (30.48cm) LP4 to 2x SATA Power Y Splitter Cable (PYO2LP4SATA) provides a reliable solution to power two SATA drives from a single LP4 (4-pin Molex) connection on your computer's power supply. This cable is essential for users needing to add more storage devices without upgrading their PSU. It offers sufficient length for flexible internal drive placement within your PC case.
Constructed with quality materials, this adapter ensures a stable power connection for your hard drives or SSDs. The 4-pin LP4 male connector plugs into your power supply, while the two female SATA power connectors attach to your drives. This Y-splitter design effectively doubles the SATA power outputs from a single source, simplifying internal component management.
This cable is designed for indoor use within computer systems. It is imported from authorized US retailers and authorized brand partners, ensuring authenticity. All customs duties and GST are included in the listed price. Delivery is via ExpressBox tracked service.
Expand Storage Without PSU Upgrade
This StarTech.com LP4 to 2x SATA Power Y Splitter Cable is the perfect solution for PC builders and upgraders who need to add more SATA drives, like SSDs or HDDs, but have limited available power connectors on their existing power supply unit. It efficiently converts one 4-pin Molex connector into two SATA power outputs, saving you the expense and hassle of purchasing a new, higher-wattage PSU. Its 12-inch (30.48cm) length offers practical flexibility for internal component arrangement, ensuring you can connect your drives wherever they fit best within your case. Imported directly from authorized US retailers, this cable guarantees genuine quality and performance for your critical storage components.
Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip
This cable is ideal for PC enthusiasts, builders, and users who need to add one or two additional SATA-powered devices (like SSDs, HDDs, or optical drives) to a system with insufficient SATA power connectors. It's perfect for older systems or budget builds where a PSU upgrade isn't feasible. However, if your power supply has ample SATA power connectors already, or if you are planning to install multiple high-power-draw devices like several high-RPM HDDs or multiple GPUs requiring dedicated power, this splitter might not be sufficient. In such cases, consider a PSU with more native connectors or a higher-wattage unit.
