How should ESD grounding mats and wrist straps be connected to ground in a lab setup?

Grounding mats and wrist straps should be connected to a verified facility earth ground via a dedicated bonding plug or grounding block containing a built-in 1-megohm safety resistor. Ensure the ground point is clean and reliable for effective static discharge.

What is the difference between antistatic and ESD static shielding bags?

Antistatic bags prevent triboelectric charge generation on the bag itself, whereas metallic ESD shielding bags provide a Faraday cage effect that shields sensitive internal electronics from external electrostatic fields.

How do SATECH sticky mats help maintain a cleanroom environment?

SATECH sticky mats capture dust, dirt, and particles from foot traffic at entry points. This prevents contaminants from being tracked into sensitive areas, significantly reducing the risk of contamination and maintaining the required cleanliness standards for cleanrooms and labs.

Can I use these sticky mats for anti-fatigue purposes?

No, these SATECH sticky mats are designed for dust and particle capture, not for providing comfort or reducing fatigue during prolonged standing. For anti-fatigue benefits, consider specialized anti-fatigue floor mats.

How do I replace the sticky sheets on the SATECH mat?

Each sheet is numbered 1-30. Simply tear down the covering layer from the back opening to expose the adhesive, adhere it to a clean floor, then tear down the front covering layer. When a sheet becomes dirty, peel off the top layer to reveal a fresh adhesive surface.

Are these sticky mats suitable for use in hospitals?

Yes, SATECH sticky mats are widely used in hospitals and surgery rooms due to their ability to capture contaminants and maintain high hygiene standards. They help prevent the spread of dirt and particles at entrances and high-traffic areas.

Imported from authorized US retailers, these mats offer a reliable barrier against dust and contaminants. Their multi-layer adhesive film effectively captures particles from foot traffic, maintaining sterile or dust-free zones. The full-size adhesive backing secures the mat firmly to flat, clean floors, preventing shifting and ensuring continuous protection. This focus on quality and performance makes them a trusted choice for critical applications where cleanliness is paramount.

Ideal for High-Traffic & Sensitive Areas

These mats are perfect for cleanrooms, laboratories, hospitals, and server rooms where even microscopic particles can cause issues. They are also excellent for homes with pets, construction sites, or garages to manage dirt and debris. While effective for general dust control, they are not designed for heavy liquid spills or as anti-fatigue mats for prolonged standing. For applications requiring extensive standing comfort, consider specialized anti-fatigue mats.

How to use

Prepare the Surface — Ensure the floor area where you intend to place the mat is flat, clean, and completely dry. Remove any existing debris or moisture to ensure optimal adhesion of the sticky backing.
Apply the Mat — Peel down the covering layer from the back opening of the mat. Carefully adhere the sticky side to the prepared floor surface, pressing down firmly to secure it. Then, tear off the front covering layer to expose the clean adhesive surface.
Replace Used Sheets — When a sheet becomes visibly dirty or loses its tackiness, simply peel off the top used layer. The numbered tabs (1-30) make it easy to identify and remove the soiled sheet, revealing a fresh adhesive layer underneath.
