Simply connect it to your PC or Mac—no complex settings or manual drivers are required. You can then easily use your favorite media player, burning, or ripping software to read, write, and rip your discs effortlessly. (Note for Mac: The disc icon will appear on the desktop only after a disc is inserted and read successfully.)
• Not Just DVD/CD-ROM Drive — More than a basic reader, this drive is a CD & DVD burner, writer, and ripper. With appropriate software, you can easily play music or movies, burn photos, videos, or data to blank discs, convert (rip) audio and video into digital files (MP3, WMA, MP4), view photo discs, install software, and back up files for long-term storage. It supports all common formats: CD-ROM, CD-R/RW, CD+R/RW, DVD-ROM, DVD±R/RW, DVD-RAM, and dual-layer DVD±R DL (VCD included). (Note: Blu-ray and 4K discs are not supported.)
• High Speed & Dual Connectors — Enhanced USB 3.0 not only delivers high-speed data transfer up to 5 Gbps (10x faster than USB 2.0) with maximum read/write speeds of DVD 8X and CD 24X, but also provides stable and reliable performance with strong error correction, noise reduction, smooth operation, and long-lasting durability. Dual connectors (USB Type-A & USB-C) allow easy plug-and-play with most laptops and desktops, no adapter required.
• Wide Compatibility & Restrictions — This external drive works seamlessly with Apple devices (MacBook Pro/Air, iMac, Mac mini/Studio) running all macOS versions, as well as Windows 11/10/8.1/7/Vista/XP and Linux laptops, desktops, and all-in-one PCs from major brands like HP, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, and more. For desktop PCs, we recommend connecting to a rear USB port on the motherboard for a stable power supply. (Note: It is NOT compatible with Chromebooks/ ChromeOS, smartphones, tablets, iPads, TVs, cars, projectors, gaming consoles like PS4/5/Xbox, or Blu-ray/4K discs.)

• Somethings to Know Before Buying — (1) Due to macOS limitations, the tray cannot be opened via the button after playing or burning a disc. To eject a disc on a Mac, right-click the desktop icon and select "Eject," or go to "File" > "Eject" from the menu. (2) On Mac, the disc icon appears on the desktop only after a disc is successfully read. (3) If your Mac's strict power management causes recognition issues, please restart your Mac or try a different USB port

• Connect the Drive — Plug the USB 3.0 or USB-C end of the cable into the ROOFULL external drive and the other end into a USB port on your Mac or Windows laptop. For desktops, use a rear USB port for best power delivery.
• Insert Disc & Access — Gently insert your CD or DVD into the drive's tray. On Windows, it should appear automatically in File Explorer. On Mac, the disc icon will appear on the desktop after it's read successfully.
• Read, Write, or Burn — Use your preferred media player, burning software, or file explorer to read data, play media, burn files to a blank disc, or create backups. Ensure adequate power supply if issues arise.
