• Pre-wash fabric to remove finishes. Protect your workspace with plastic sheeting or newspaper. Wear rubber gloves and old clothing to prevent staining. Ensure good ventilation. — Prepare Your Fabric and Workspace
• For best results on natural fibers, use hot water (140°F/60°C). Fill a plastic container or washing machine with enough hot water to allow fabric to move freely. Add the entire 8oz bottle of Rit All-Purpose Liquid Dye and stir well. — Mix the Dye
• Submerge your fabric in the dye bath. For washing machine dyeing, run a full wash cycle. For container dyeing, agitate fabric for 10-30 minutes, or until desired color is achieved. For tie-dye, apply dye directly or use resist techniques. — Dye the Fabric
• Rinse fabric in cold water until water runs clear. For permanent color, wash the item in hot water with a mild detergent and a Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative (sold separately). Dry as usual. — Rinse and Set the Color
