FAQ, See What Others Asked

How is this Pelikan Souverän M205 Blue Marble Fountain Pen authentic vs the version sold in Indian stores?

Sourced directly from authorized US retailers (Amazon.com, Walmart, Costco) and authorized brand partners, factory-sealed, imported per-order. This pen is the same SKU and quality US buyers receive. All customs duties and GST are included in the displayed price. Arrives 2-8 days via ExpressBox tracked shipping.

Will the Pelikan M205 Blue Marble pen I receive match what is shown on the US retailer's page?

Yes, orders are placed against the listed US retailer page at the time of purchase. Batch codes, packaging, and labels match what the US retailer dispatches. Photographs of every order are taken before international handover to ensure accuracy.

Is the Pelikan Souverän M205 Blue Marble pen suitable for students in India?

Yes, this pen is excellent for students who appreciate a quality writing instrument. Its smooth broad nib is great for note-taking and assignments, and its durable resin construction means it can withstand daily use. The classic design makes it a stylish addition to any school bag.

How long does the ink last in the Pelikan Souverän M205 fountain pen?

The ink longevity depends on the bottled ink used and writing frequency. A full piston fill typically lasts for extensive writing sessions, often several pages of notes or a few pages of journaling, before needing a refill. The pen itself is designed for years of use with proper care.

Can I use any brand of ink with the Pelikan Souverän M205?

While Pelikan recommends their own 4001 or Edelstein bottled inks for optimal performance and to protect the nib and piston mechanism, other high-quality fountain pen inks can be used. Avoid India inks or calligraphy inks, as they can clog the feed and damage the pen.

What is the difference between a broad and a fine nib on a fountain pen?

A broad nib on a fountain pen lays down a thicker line of ink compared to a fine nib. This makes it ideal for signatures, expressive writing, and journaling where a bolder stroke is desired. A fine nib is better suited for detailed writing, small handwriting, or filling out forms.

How do I refill the Pelikan Souverän M205 fountain pen?

To refill, unscrew the barrel from the section, submerge the nib in ink, and twist the piston knob clockwise to draw ink into the pen. Once filled, twist the knob counter-clockwise to expel a small amount of ink to clear the feed. Wipe the nib clean with a soft cloth.

Is the Pelikan Souverän M205 Blue Marble pen durable for daily office use?

Yes, the Pelikan Souverän M205 is constructed from durable resin with a strong silver clip, making it suitable for daily office use. Its classic design and reliable performance ensure it can handle frequent writing tasks while maintaining its aesthetic appeal.
