How do I apply Panther Armor furniture protectors?

Clean the fabric surface, then peel the self-adhesive backing from the sheet and press it firmly into place. For extra security on thicker fabrics, use the included twist pins to anchor the protector. Trim the sheets as needed for a custom fit on corners, arms, or edges.

Can I use these protectors on leather furniture?

These protectors are primarily designed for fabric upholstery. While they may adhere to some leather surfaces, it is recommended to test on an inconspicuous area first, as the adhesive could potentially damage or leave residue on certain leather types.

How long do these protectors last?

The durability depends on your cat's scratching habits. The thick plastic provides a strong barrier against claws. For fabric furniture, they help prevent wear and tear, extending the furniture's life. They are designed to stay in place with their adhesive backing and optional pins.

Will these protectors hide my furniture?

No, the Panther Armor protectors are clear and transparent, designed to blend seamlessly with your furniture's original color and pattern. They provide protection without altering the aesthetic of your home decor, unlike bulky covers that can trap dust and hair.

What is the difference between XL and Large sheets?

The set includes 6 extra-large sheets measuring 12"x17" and 6 large sheets measuring 10"x17". This variety allows you to cover larger areas of upholstery with fewer pieces and provides flexibility for different furniture shapes and sizes, ensuring comprehensive protection.

Are these protectors safe for kittens?

Yes, these protectors are suitable for kittens and indoor cats. They provide a physical deterrent to scratching without using sprays, odors, or harsh chemicals, making them a safe option for training kittens and managing scratching behavior in multi-pet households.

Why choose this product

Unseen Defense Against Cat Claws

Panther Armor's clear protectors offer a robust shield for your fabric furniture. Unlike sprays that may have odors or covers that trap dust, these sheets create a physical barrier. They are designed to deter cats from scratching by making the surface unappealing to their claws. The durable plastic is thick enough to prevent damage but flexible enough to conform to furniture contours, including corners and arms. This system helps maintain your furniture's aesthetic while protecting it from daily wear and tear, extending its life and keeping your home looking pristine.

Ideal for Fabric Furniture Owners

These protectors are specifically designed for fabric upholstery and are easy to install with self-adhesive backing and optional twist pins. They are best suited for pet owners with fabric sofas, chairs, or sectionals who want to prevent scratching damage without altering their home's appearance. Skip if you have genuine or faux leather furniture, as the adhesive may not be suitable or could cause damage. For homes with very active scratchers or loose-weave fabrics, using the included twist pins is recommended for maximum security. This product is a practical solution for multi-pet households and kittens learning to avoid furniture.

How to use

Prepare the Surface — Ensure the fabric area you wish to protect is clean and dry. Gently smooth out any wrinkles or loose threads on the furniture surface where the protector will be applied.
Apply the Protector — Peel the protective backing from the self-adhesive side of the sheet. Carefully align and press the sheet firmly onto the fabric, smoothing out any air bubbles to ensure good adhesion.
Secure with Pins (Optional) — For added security, especially on thicker or loose-weave fabrics, use the included twist pins. Insert them through the protector sheet and into the furniture fabric at strategic points.
Trim for Custom Fit — If needed, use scissors to trim the protector sheets to fit specific furniture contours, such as corners, edges, or arms, ensuring complete and neat coverage.
