How do I apply Panther Armor furniture protectors?

Clean the fabric surface where you intend to apply the protector. Peel away the self-adhesive backing from the sheet and press it firmly onto the furniture. For thicker fabrics or to ensure extra hold on corners and edges, use the included twist pins. Trim the sheets as needed for a custom fit.

Can these protectors be used on leather furniture?

Panther Armor protectors are primarily designed for fabric upholstery. While some users may attempt application on leather, it is not recommended as the adhesive or pins could potentially damage the leather surface. Always test on an inconspicuous area first if considering use on leather.

How long do these protectors last?

The durability depends on your cat's scratching habits and the fabric type. The thick plastic and secure adhesion are designed to withstand regular scratching. Reviewers report effectiveness for months, but replacement may be needed if your cat persistently tries to peel or dislodge the protector.

Will these protectors change the look of my furniture?

No, the clear, gloss finish is designed to blend seamlessly with your furniture's original color and texture. Unlike opaque covers, these protectors maintain the aesthetic appeal of your sofas and chairs while providing a functional barrier against cat claws.

Why choose this product

Protect Your Furniture Effectively

Panther Armor's clear furniture protectors offer a reliable shield against cat scratching on fabric upholstery. The durable plastic sheets, combined with strong adhesive and optional twist pins, create a physical barrier that discourages cats from damaging sofas, chairs, and corners. This system is designed to be effective for indoor cats, kittens, and multi-pet homes, helping to preserve the life and appearance of your home furnishings. Unlike sprays or covers, it maintains your furniture's aesthetic while providing essential protection.

Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip It

This product is ideal for pet owners with fabric furniture who need a discreet, effective solution to prevent cat scratching damage. It's suitable for homes with indoor cats, kittens, and multiple pets. However, it is intended for fabric surfaces ONLY and should NOT be applied to faux or genuine leather furniture, as it may cause damage. If your cat scratches leather or vinyl, consider a different type of protector.

How to use

Prepare the Surface — Ensure the fabric area you wish to protect is clean, dry, and free of dust or debris. This will help the adhesive backing stick effectively and prevent the sheet from peeling prematurely.
Apply the Protector — Peel away the protective backing from the clear sheet. Carefully align the sheet with the furniture surface, such as a sofa arm or corner, and press down firmly to secure the adhesive.
Add Extra Security (Optional) — For thicker fabrics or areas prone to heavy scratching, use the included twist pins. Gently push the pins through the plastic sheet and into the fabric to anchor the protector securely in place.
Trim for Custom Fit — If needed, use scissors to trim the plastic sheet to precisely fit the contours of your furniture, such as tight corners or curved edges, for a neat and effective application.
