Clear Entry Alerts for Your Home
The Newhouse Hardware White 2-Note Wired Door Bell Chime (CHM1) offers a clean, unobtrusive design perfect for any home. This wired chime plays a distinct 2-note ‘ding-dong’ for the front door and a single ‘ding’ for secondary entrances, providing clear auditory alerts. It’s compatible with 16V AC transformers (sold separately) and includes mounting hardware for easy installation. Measures 7.25" W x 4.125" H x 2" D. Ideal for new builds or replacing existing chimes.
This chime is designed for wired doorbell systems and requires a 16V AC transformer (not included) and bell wire to complete the setup. The 85dB loudness ensures it can be heard throughout most homes. Its simple, functional design makes it a reliable choice for homeowners and builders alike, offering a clear and consistent way to know when visitors arrive.
While this chime is a USA-market version, crowcrowcrow imports it for Indian homes. Ensure you use a 230V-compatible transformer for Indian mains power. All customs duties and GST are included in the price. Delivery is via ExpressBox tracked shipping, arriving within 15-17 days.
Reliable Wired Chime Functionality
This Newhouse Hardware wired doorbell chime offers a dependable way to manage entry alerts. Unlike battery-powered wireless units that can suffer from signal interference or battery drain, this mechanical chime provides a consistent, loud sound when activated. Its classic 2-note and 1-note system clearly distinguishes between front and secondary doors. While it requires a separate 16V AC transformer and wiring, the installation is straightforward for those with existing systems or for electricians completing new builds. It’s built for durability and consistent performance, ensuring you won't miss a visitor.
Who It's For vs. Who Should Consider Alternatives
This chime is ideal for homeowners with existing wired doorbell systems or those undertaking new construction where wiring can be easily installed. It’s perfect for houses where a clear, loud audible alert is needed. Consider a wireless battery-powered chime if you cannot easily run new wires or if your existing transformer is incompatible and you prefer not to source a new one. This model is not a smart doorbell and does not offer video or remote notification features.
