How do I switch between speed and cadence mode with the Magene S3+ sensor?

To switch modes, you need to remove the insulating sheet from the pre-installed CR2032 battery and then re-install it. Each sensor can only operate in one mode (either speed or cadence) at a time. For simultaneous speed and cadence tracking, you will need to purchase two separate sensors.

Can I connect the Magene S3+ sensor to multiple devices at once?

Yes, when using the ANT+ protocol, the Magene S3+ sensor can connect to multiple devices simultaneously. However, if you are using the Bluetooth protocol, the sensor can only connect to one app or device at a time. Always search for the sensor within your cycling app, not through your phone's system Bluetooth settings.

How long does the battery last on the Magene S3+ sensor?

The Magene S3+ sensor is powered by a replaceable CR2032 lithium battery, offering an impressive battery life of approximately 500 hours. This ensures extended usage for your training sessions without frequent battery replacements.

Is the Magene S3+ sensor suitable for use in Indian weather conditions?

Yes, the Magene S3+ sensor has an IP54 international protection rating, meaning it is resistant to dust and splashes. This makes it suitable for use during dusty rides or in light rain, common in various Indian climates. It's designed to withstand typical outdoor cycling conditions.

How do I find and connect the Magene S3+ sensor to my cycling app?

To connect the Magene S3+ sensor to your smartphone app, you must search for it directly within the app's device settings. Searching through your phone's general system Bluetooth settings will not work. Ensure the sensor is awake by moving it, and then initiate the search within your chosen cycling application.

Does the Magene S3+ sensor automatically turn off to save battery?

Yes, the Magene S3+ sensor is designed with power efficiency in mind. It automatically enters a sleep state for one minute after it detects no motion, conserving battery life. The sensor will only begin broadcasting data again once it is properly woken up by movement.

How to choose a cycling computer sensor in India?

When choosing a cycling computer sensor in India, consider connectivity (Bluetooth/ANT+), whether you need speed, cadence, or both (often requiring two sensors), battery life, and water resistance for local conditions. Ensure it's compatible with your existing bike computer or smartphone app. Imported options like the Magene S3+ offer reliable performance with dual-sensor capabilities.

What is the best cycling computer sensor for performance tracking?

For optimal performance tracking, a sensor that provides both speed and cadence data is recommended. The Magene S3+ offers this dual functionality, connecting wirelessly via ANT+ or Bluetooth. Accurate metrics from such sensors help analyze your training intensity and improve cycling efficiency on any terrain.
