• Remove Old Strings — Carefully remove the old strings from your 7-string electric guitar one by one. Loosen each string by turning the tuning peg until slack, then unhook it from the bridge.
• Install New Strings — Unpack the new Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings. Starting with the thickest gauge (.052), thread it through the bridge and secure it. Gently pull the string taut and wind it around the tuning post, ensuring it's seated correctly.
• Tune and Stretch — Tune the guitar to standard pitch for a 7-string. Stretch each new string gently by pulling it away from the fretboard and retuning. Repeat this process several times until the strings hold their tuning more stably.
• Trim Excess String — Once tuned and stretched, trim any excess string length from the tuning posts using string cutters. This prevents loose ends from interfering with playing or potentially snagging.
