• Select the Correct Die — Identify the terminal type and wire gauge (AWG #26-18). Choose the appropriate die width (1.6, 1.9, 2.2, or 2.5mm) from the tool that best matches your terminal and wire size.
• Prepare Wire and Terminal — Strip the wire end to the appropriate length, ensuring no stray strands. Insert the stripped wire into the open-barrel terminal, ensuring it's seated correctly within the terminal's barrel.
• Position and Crimp — Insert the terminal and wire into the selected die cavity on the crimping pliers. Squeeze the handles firmly until the ratcheting mechanism completes the cycle, ensuring a secure crimp.
• Inspect and Maintain — Visually inspect the crimp for completeness and security. Ensure the joint screw is tight and the locking latch functions correctly. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent rust on the steel components.
