Bates Choice 6 Inch Flexible Drywall Spackle Knife | Carbon Steel, Rust-Resistant, Soft-Grip Handle

• Package includes a 6" taping knife.
• Bates taping knife is made of carbon steel, rust-resistant and corrosion-resistant, and durable.
• Soft-grip handle offers a secure hold and comfort, even during extended use.
• It offers a perfect, precise flex for better finishing and faster application rates.
• Taping knife is a multi-purpose tool and is ideal for home improvement projects like applying joint compound, puttying windows, scraping paint, etc.

• Prepare the Surface — Ensure the area to be repaired is clean, dry, and free of dust or loose debris. For larger holes, you may need to apply a drywall patch or mesh tape first.
• Apply Compound — Load a small amount of joint compound or spackle onto the 6-inch flexible blade. Hold the knife at a slight angle to the surface and spread the compound evenly over the hole or crack, feathering the edges.
• Smooth and Finish — Use the flexible blade to smooth the compound, removing excess and creating a flush surface. For best results, apply thin, even coats and allow each to dry completely before sanding and applying subsequent coats if needed.
• Clean Up — Wipe the blade clean with a damp cloth immediately after use to prevent compound from drying on the steel. Store the knife in a dry place to maintain its rust-resistant properties.
