Printmaker-Formulated for Performance
Akua Intaglio Inks were created by printmakers for printmakers, ensuring brilliant colours and intense blacks with unmatched working properties. Unlike some local alternatives that may have inconsistent pigment load or drying times, Akua inks are formulated for predictable performance. They dry through absorption, meaning they won't dry on your plate, giving you more control and cleaner prints, even in humid Indian conditions. This USA-sourced ink offers a professional edge for artists seeking authentic quality.
Ideal for Diverse Printmaking Techniques
This ink is perfect for Intaglio/Etching, Monotype, Gel Printing, and Collagraph printmaking. Its water-based nature makes it easy to clean up with soap and water, a significant advantage over solvent-based inks in India where ventilation might be limited. While it offers excellent versatility, artists with extreme sensitivity to water-based formulations or those requiring very slow-drying inks for specific techniques might consider oil-based alternatives, though these typically involve more complex cleanup and ventilation needs.
