3M Sandpaper 100 Grit Medium Aluminum Oxide 9 in x 11 in (5-Pack) | Sands Paint, Wood & Metal

Precision Sanding Performance

This 3M sandpaper utilizes high-quality aluminum oxide, a tough and durable abrasive mineral, to deliver consistent grit performance. Unlike generic abrasives that may wear down quickly, 3M's material ensures a longer lifespan and effective stock removal on paint, wood, and metal. The 100-grit medium coarseness is ideal for general-purpose sanding, preparing surfaces for finishing or stripping old coatings. Its paper backing allows for flexibility, whether used by hand or cut for power tools, ensuring it conforms to contours for a smoother, more uniform finish. This attention to material science means less effort for better results.

Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip It

Ideal for DIY enthusiasts, woodworkers, painters, and metal fabricators who need reliable sandpaper for general surface preparation, paint removal, or smoothing wood before finishing. It's perfect for projects requiring a medium grit finish. Skip if you need extremely fine grits (above 400) for high-gloss finishes or specialized wet-sanding applications, as this is a dry-use, medium-grit product. Also, ensure your sander's dust extraction ports align with the sheet's hole pattern if dust collection is critical for your workspace.
