What type of batteries do these lanterns use?

Each YAKii Vintage LED Lantern requires 2 D-cell batteries. These batteries are not included with the lanterns and must be purchased separately. For extended use, we recommend using high-quality alkaline batteries.

Can I use these lanterns outdoors in India?

These lanterns are suitable for outdoor decorative use in covered areas like patios or courtyards. However, they are not rated as water-resistant and should be protected from direct rain or moisture to prevent damage to the metal and electrical components.

How bright is the light from these LED lanterns?

The lanterns feature 12 cold white LEDs with a dimmer switch, allowing you to adjust the brightness. They are designed to provide ambient, decorative lighting rather than intense task lighting. The dimmer lets you set a soft glow or a moderately brighter light suitable for creating atmosphere.

What is the difference between these LED lanterns and traditional kerosene lamps?

These LED lanterns offer the vintage aesthetic of kerosene lamps without the safety hazards of open flames, smoke, or fuel. They are battery-operated, flameless, and feature a dimmer switch for adjustable brightness, providing a safer and more convenient lighting solution for modern homes and camping.

Are these lanterns suitable for emergency power outages in India?

Yes, these lanterns are excellent for emergency lighting during power outages. Their battery operation means they function independently of the grid, and the dimmer switch allows you to conserve battery life by adjusting brightness. Keep a spare set of D batteries handy for continuous light.

How do I care for the metal finish of the lanterns?

The lanterns have a brushed copper finish on galvanized steel. To maintain their appearance, wipe them clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, especially in humid Indian climates, to prevent tarnishing and preserve the finish.
