• Prepare the Brush — Before first use, comb the bristles to remove any loose fibers. If the brush is stiff from packaging, soak the bristles in water (for latex paints) or mineral spirits (for oil-based paints) for a few minutes, then dry thoroughly.
• Load the Brush — Dip about one-third of the bristles into the paint. Tap the brush gently on the side of the paint can to remove excess paint; do not wipe it against the rim, as this can damage the bristles.
• Apply Paint — Use smooth, even strokes. For cutting in, use the angled edge to create clean lines along walls, trim, and corners. For larger surfaces, apply paint in overlapping strokes for consistent coverage.
• Clean After Use — Immediately after painting, clean the brush thoroughly with water and soap for latex paints, or mineral spirits for oil-based paints. Rinse well, reshape the bristles, and allow to dry completely before storing.
