Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Paint, Cadmium Yellow Light, 37ml (1.25 fl oz) | ASTM D4236 Certified Opaque Yellow

The Artisan Advantage: Oil Painting Made Safer and Simpler

Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Color offers a revolutionary approach to oil painting. Unlike traditional oils that require mineral spirits or turpentine, Artisan paints are formulated with modified oils that allow for thinning and cleanup with water. This significantly reduces exposure to harmful fumes, creating a safer painting environment for artists working at home, in schools, or in shared studio spaces across India. The paint provides the same buttery consistency, excellent tinting strength, and permanence as conventional oils, ensuring professional-quality results without the compromise on safety or convenience. It's the perfect choice for artists who love the feel of oil but prefer a simpler, more eco-friendly process.

Who It's For vs. Who Should Consider Alternatives

This paint is ideal for beginner artists, students, hobbyists, and professional painters seeking a safer, water-cleanable oil medium. It's perfect for those painting in shared spaces, at home with children or pets, or in regions with limited ventilation. If you require extremely fast drying times for rapid layering or prefer the unique properties of solvent-based oil paints for specific techniques, you might consider traditional oils. For artists needing extreme lightfastness ratings beyond 'A' or specific archival certifications not covered by ASTM D4236, exploring other professional oil lines may be beneficial.
