What size cane tip do I need?

For this Vive folding cane, the standard slip-resistant rubber tip is pre-attached. It is designed to fit the aluminum shaft securely. If you need to replace it, measure the inner diameter of the cane's shaft where the tip attaches. Common sizes are 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", and 1". This cane is compatible with most standard replacement tips, ensuring you can find a suitable option if needed.

Are these tips non-slip?

Yes, the Vive folding cane features a slip-resistant rubber tip designed to provide enhanced traction and stability on a variety of surfaces. This helps prevent accidental slips and falls, offering greater confidence and security when walking indoors or outdoors.

Do these fit quad canes / offset canes / crutches?

This specific cane is designed for single-point use and is compatible with most standard replacement tips. While the tip itself is standard, the cane shaft is designed for this particular Vive folding cane model. For quad canes or crutches, separate compatible tips would be required for their specific shaft diameters.

How do I replace a worn cane tip?

To replace the tip, firmly grip the old rubber tip and pull it straight off the aluminum shaft. Clean the end of the cane shaft to remove any debris. Align the new replacement tip and push it firmly onto the shaft until it is fully seated and secure. Ensure it fits snugly before applying weight.

When should I replace my cane tip?

You should replace the cane tip when the tread shows significant wear, cracks appear, or you notice a reduction in grip and stability. A worn tip compromises safety and can lead to slips. Regularly inspect the tip for damage and replace it promptly to maintain optimal traction and support.
