Who Should Choose ZZ Reeds?
These reeds are ideal for alto saxophonists playing jazz, blues, or contemporary styles who need immediate articulation and a bright sound. They are particularly suited for players who prefer a Strength 2, offering a good balance of resistance and ease of play. If you value consistent tone, durability, and a reed that responds quickly to your playing, the ZZ is an excellent choice. Players seeking a very dark, mellow tone or those who require a much harder reed strength might consider other models.
