Vandoren SR223 Tenor Sax Traditional Reeds Strength 3; Box of 5 | 1.5cm (0.6in) x 4.4cm (1.7in) x 13cm (5.1in)

• Traditional reeds are known for their excellent response in all registers, allowing a pianissimo attack in even highest notes.
• Extremely flexible, allowing the legato or staccato execution of large intervals while maintaining a richness of tone that gives body and clarity to the sound, which is a hallmark of Vandoren reeds.
• Traditional reeds are available for all clarinets and saxophones in various strengths.
• Every reed sealed in 'Flow Pack' to ensure freshness.

• Prepare the Reed — Gently remove one reed from the 'Flow Pack'. Moisten the tip of the reed with a drop of water or saliva for about 30 seconds to an hour, depending on dryness, to prepare it for optimal response.
• Attach to Mouthpiece — Carefully place the reed onto the tenor saxophone mouthpiece, ensuring the flat side of the reed faces the mouthpiece table. Secure it with the ligature, tightening evenly without overtightening.
• Test and Adjust — Play a few notes to test the response. If the sound is too bright or stiff, try slightly loosening the ligature or adjusting the reed's position. If too airy or soft, tighten the ligature slightly.
• Store Properly — After playing, remove the reed and store it in a dry reed case or guard, ideally with a humidity control pack. This protects it from climate changes and ensures longevity and consistent performance.
