• Prepare Vehicle for Installation — Inside the vehicle, pull up the carpet and remove the four 10mm bolts holding the stock shifter bushing mount. Support the transmission underneath with a jack and wood block before removing the factory skid plate crossmember.
• Remove Old Linkage Components — Carefully remove the old shift linkage at the shifter using a panel removal tool. Detach the stock bracket from the transfer case using two 9/16 nuts, and remove the nut holding the stock shifter arm, saving the nut and washer.
• Install New Bracket and Arm — Install the new body-mounted bracket using the provided 4 bolts, ensuring all threads start before fully tightening. Bolt the new bracket to the transfer case studs and install the new shifter arm using the saved stock nut and washer.
• Connect Cable and Adjust — Install the new shifter cable onto the bracket and connect it to the transfer case shifter arm using the quick-release pins. Adjust the cable length until all gears engage correctly, ensuring smooth operation.
