Control Light, Enhance Images
Tiffen 46mm Linear Polarizer Filter is an essential tool for outdoor photography, designed to enhance your images by selectively controlling light. It effectively removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass, leading to clearer shots. This filter also saturates colors, providing richer hues and better contrast, while minimizing atmospheric haze for crisper details in both color and black-and-white photography. The polarizing effect is adjustable by simply rotating the filter, allowing you to fine-tune the results as you see them through the viewfinder.
This linear polarizer is specifically recommended for use with most manual focus cameras. For modern auto-focus cameras, a circular polarizer is generally preferred to avoid potential interference with autofocus and metering systems. The filter is constructed from high-quality optical glass set within a durable aluminum frame, ensuring clarity and longevity. Its 46mm thread size makes it compatible with a wide range of camera lenses featuring the same front filter diameter.
Imported directly from authorized US retailers, this Tiffen filter offers authentic performance for your photography needs. All customs duties and GST are included in the price, with delivery handled by ExpressBox for reliable tracking. While this linear polarizer is not recommended for auto-focus cameras, it remains a valuable accessory for photographers seeking to control reflections and enhance image quality on compatible manual focus systems.
Authentic Tiffen Performance for Your Lens
Tiffen is a trusted name in camera filters, and this 46mm Linear Polarizer offers genuine optical quality. It's crafted from optical glass with an aluminum frame, ensuring durability and clarity. Unlike generic filters, Tiffen's construction minimizes internal reflections and chromatic aberration. This filter is imported from authorized US retailers, guaranteeing authenticity and performance for your manual focus camera. It's ideal for photographers who want to control light and enhance their images with professional-grade tools.
Who Should Use This Filter & Who Should Look Elsewhere
This filter is perfect for photographers using manual focus cameras who want to reduce glare, deepen skies, and improve color saturation in outdoor shots. It's excellent for landscapes, architecture, and capturing reflections on water or glass. However, if you are using a modern DSLR or mirrorless camera with auto-focus and metering, a circular polarizer (CPL) is strongly recommended. Linear polarizers can interfere with these camera functions, potentially leading to inaccurate exposures or focus issues. If your camera is auto-focus, please select a CPL filter instead.
