• Ease of Use and Precise Matching: Easily switch between internal and external EDID with a single button. The default internal EDID supports 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, while the external EDID supports 4K@120Hz 4:2:0. Holding the button for 3 seconds initiates copying mode, capturing the latest external monitor's EDID into the emulator, including video and audio format details, to enable accurate HDMI screen emulation. ● If you desire surround sound, please copy an EDID from a display that supports 5.1ch or 7.1ch audio, as the preset EDID only supports 2.1ch audio.
• To Prevent EDID Loss: This device supports copying and emulating EDID when connecting to devices such as splitters, switchers, and extenders. The quality of the cable and the age of the screen may affect the success rate of the EDID copy. Please try an alternative setup if necessary.
• HDMI 2.1 & SCDC: This product is compatible with HDMI 2.1 and adheres to HDCP standards 1.4, 2.2, and 2.3. It accommodates resolutions up to 1080p@240Hz 4:4:4 and 4K@120Hz 4:2:0, but it does not support 8K resolution. The device features HDCP pass-through, which permits HDMI output devices to access the display's HDCP keys when properly connected. In the absence of HDCP, the screen will either display a blank image or revert to a lower resolution. Additionally, this model facilitates 10x and 40x frequency control for SCDC handshaking and supports hot-plugging for the display. However, it does not accommodate the FRL handshaking necessary for 8K resolution.
• Bi-Directional Design: It can automatically detect the direction of HDMI (Sink and Source auto detection), supporting both forward and reverse connections, allowing the choice to connect the EDID emulator on the computer or display side, offering more convenient installation and application options.
• Headless operation supported; no monitor connection needed; even if the display is turned off. Powered by the HDMI source device; no external power supply needed. If the monitor's EDID can't be copied, please try another monitor, good HDMI cable or use internal EDID for testing.

• Connect to HDMI Source — Plug the emulator into the HDMI output port of your computer, server, or graphics card. Ensure the connection is secure. The device draws power directly from this port.
• Select EDID Mode — Use the button to switch between internal EDID (4K@60Hz 4:4:4) and external EDID (4K@120Hz 4:2:0). For EDID copying, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to capture the connected display's EDID.
• Connect Display or Extender — Connect your HDMI display, switcher, splitter, or extender to the emulator's sink port. The emulator will now present the selected or copied EDID information to your source device.
