• Prepare Violin — Ensure your 1/8 size violin is clean. Gently remove old strings one by one, or all at once if preferred, being careful not to damage the instrument's bridge or fingerboard.
• Install New Strings — Thread the new E, A, D, and G strings through the tailpiece (ensure the steel E string's removable ball end is correctly attached). Insert the other end into the tuning pegs, leaving a small amount of slack.
• Tune and Stretch — Slowly bring each string up to pitch using the tuning pegs. New strings will stretch and go out of tune quickly; gently stretch each string and retune multiple times over the first few hours of play.
• Fine-tune and Play — Once stable, fine-tune using pegs and fine tuners. Allow strings to settle for a day or two, retuning as needed. Enjoy the clear, balanced tone of your new Thomastik-Infeld Dominant strings.
