The eyepiece can be disassembled for lens cleaning, crucial for maintaining clarity in humid Indian climates.
This eyepiece offers a significant upgrade over standard telescope lenses, providing a wider field of view for better target acquisition and tracking. All customs duties and GST are included in the price. Delivered via ExpressBox tracked shipping within 15-17 days.
Precision Optics for Indian Skies
This SVBONY eyepiece is engineered with a 6mm focal length and a 68-degree ultra-wide field of view, providing exceptional clarity and magnification for observing planets and deep-sky objects. Its fully multi-coated optical glass lenses, designed in a 5-element, 3-group configuration, ensure high transmittance and minimize chromatic aberration, delivering sharp, high-contrast images even in challenging viewing conditions. The durable, all-metal body with a rubber grip ring and included dust covers ensures longevity and ease of use. All customs duties and GST are pre-paid, so you receive your order without any additional charges upon delivery.
Who Should Choose This Eyepiece & Who Should Consider Alternatives
Ideal for amateur astronomers in India seeking to enhance their telescope's capabilities for planetary and deep-sky observation. It's particularly beneficial for those who wear eyeglasses, thanks to its 17mm eye relief. Consider alternatives if you require a wider field of view (e.g., 82-degree or 100-degree eyepieces) for specific deep-sky targets, or if your telescope's focuser is not compatible with the standard 1.25-inch barrel size. For very high magnification needs, a shorter focal length eyepiece might be preferred, though this 6mm offers a good balance for detail.
Typical situations where SVBONY 6mm Ultra Wide Angle Telescope Eyepiece | 68 Degree FOV helps — illustrative scenarios, not customer reviews.
An amateur astronomer in Bangalore wants to observe Jupiter's moons and Saturn's rings.
The SVBONY 6mm eyepiece provides the necessary high magnification (e.g., 200x with a 1200mm scope) to clearly resolve planetary details. Its sharp optics and wide field of view make tracking these celestial bodies easier, even with slight atmospheric turbulence.
A user in coastal Mumbai wants to view the Milky Way and star clusters without constant telescope adjustments.
The 68-degree ultra-wide field of view allows for immersive observation of the Milky Way and star clusters. The wide FOV reduces the need to frequently reposition the telescope, making it ideal for extended viewing sessions and capturing broader celestial panoramas.
