Strathmore's Legacy in Art Paper
For over 125 years, Strathmore has been dedicated to creating high-performing art papers. This 300 Series Newsprint Pad embodies that tradition, offering a reliable, natural-toned surface specifically designed for sketching and preliminary drawing. Unlike generic paper, it's engineered to enhance your artistic efforts, providing a consistent texture that grips dry media effectively. This ensures your graphite, charcoal, and colored pencil work appears vibrant and detailed, making it a trusted choice for artists serious about their practice and progress.
Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip It
This pad is perfect for art students, hobbyists, and professional artists needing a large, affordable surface for practice sketches, preliminary drawings, and gesture studies. It's excellent for graphite, charcoal, and colored pencils. However, artists seeking a smooth surface for detailed ink work, watercolor, or mixed media applications might find the rough texture and paper weight less suitable. For such projects, consider Strathmore's Bristol or watercolor pads.
