Why choose this product

Engineered for Efficiency and Safety

Smead's pressboard classification file folders are designed for maximum organizational efficiency. The patented SafeSHIELD coated fasteners are a key innovation, preventing common issues like finger cuts and paper tears. This focus on user safety and document integrity sets them apart. The 2/5-cut tab and 2" expansion spine further enhance usability for large projects. Smead, a woman-owned company with over a century of experience, is committed to high-quality, environmentally responsible products that keep you organized.

Ideal for Professionals, Who Should Consider Alternatives

These folders are perfect for office workers, students, and professionals needing robust document management for projects, assignments, or client files. The blue color and letter size are standard for many office environments. Individuals requiring extreme durability for archival purposes or those needing specialized indexing systems might explore heavy-duty plastic or custom-tabbed options. For very thin document sets, the expansion might be excessive.

How to use

Prepare Your Documents — Gather all related documents for a specific project or subject. Ensure papers are standard letter size (approx. 8.5" x 11") and ready for insertion into the folder's filing surfaces.
Insert Documents into Sections — Open the folder and utilize the 2 sturdy dividers to create 6 separate filing surfaces. Place documents into their designated sections, ensuring they lie flat and are not creased by the SafeSHIELD fasteners.
Secure with SafeSHIELD Fasteners — Gently close the SafeSHIELD fasteners over the documents. The patented coating ensures a secure grip without damaging papers or causing injury, keeping your files protected and organized.
Label and Store — Use the 2/5-cut tab in the right-of-center position to label the folder clearly. The 2" expansion allows for substantial document volume. Store upright in a filing cabinet or on a shelf.
