• Ensure the edge of your material (plywood, MDF, particle board) is clean, dry, and sanded smooth. Trim any excess material to create a clean edge for optimal adhesion. Measure and cut the veneer tape to the required length, allowing a slight overlap for a perfect finish. — Prepare the Surface
• Set a household iron to a medium-high heat setting (test on a scrap piece first to find the right temperature). Avoid using steam. Gently heat the veneer strip along its length, focusing on the pre-glued adhesive side. — Apply Heat
• Carefully align the heated veneer strip onto the prepared edge of your material. Press down firmly and evenly with the hot iron, moving slowly along the entire length to ensure the adhesive melts and bonds securely. Apply consistent pressure for about 10-15 seconds per section. — Bond the Veneer
• Allow the veneer to cool completely. Once cool, use a sharp utility knife or a specialized edge banding trimmer to carefully trim any excess veneer from the ends and sides. Lightly sand the edges if needed for a perfectly smooth finish. — Trim and Finish
