• Prepare the Pen — Unscrew the barrel from the pen. If using the included refill, insert it firmly into the pen's ink feed mechanism until it clicks into place. Alternatively, if using bottled ink, attach a Sheaffer ink converter (sold separately) and dip the nib into your chosen ink bottle.
• Ink the Pen — If using bottled ink, gently squeeze the converter to draw ink into the pen. Ensure the nib is fully submerged. If using a cartridge, ensure it is securely attached. Wipe any excess ink from the nib and feed with a soft cloth.
• Write Smoothly — Hold the pen at a comfortable angle (around 45 degrees) and allow the medium nib to glide across the paper. Apply light pressure; the ink should flow freely without skipping. Enjoy the smooth, consistent line for all your writing needs.
