• Set Up for Sharpening — Place the wet stone on a stable, non-slip surface, such as a damp cloth or a dedicated stone holder. Ensure it is secure before you begin sharpening to prevent accidents.
• Sharpen the Blade — Hold your knife at a consistent angle (typically 15-20 degrees) and move the blade across the stone. Alternate sides, using moderate pressure, to create a burr on the opposite edge. Continue until the edge is sharp.
• Finish and Clean — After sharpening, rinse the stone and your knife. For a finer edge, follow with a higher grit stone. Dry the whetstone thoroughly before storing it in a dry place to prolong its lifespan.
