Will installing this tank protector damage my motorcycle's factory paint or clear coat?

Quality tank pads utilize automotive-grade acrylic adhesives engineered to stick firmly to factory paint while peeling away cleanly without clear coat damage when warmed gently with a heat gun or hairdryer. This REVSOSTAR protector is designed for a secure bond on compatible surfaces.

Can these tank pads be installed on both gloss and matte motorcycle tanks?

Most universal and bike-specific tank pads bond reliably to both gloss and factory matte finishes, provided the surface is completely degreased and free of wax or ceramic coatings before application. For this REVSOSTAR pad, it is best suited for gloss finishes.

Why choose this product

Authentic USA Import for Superior Protection

This REVSOSTAR tank protector is imported from authorized US retailers, guaranteeing genuine quality. Unlike generic alternatives, it's made from real carbon fiber, offering enhanced durability and a premium finish. Its waterproof and scratch-resistant properties ensure your motorcycle's fuel tank stays protected from daily wear, zippers, and environmental elements, maintaining its aesthetic appeal and resale value.

Ideal for Indian Riders & Conditions

This protector is suitable for most Honda CBR models. However, riders with CBR250R, 400RR, 500R, or other CB/NSR/RVF/VFR series bikes should verify fitment compatibility before purchase. It is not recommended for motorcycles with matte or textured fuel tank finishes, as the adhesive may not bond optimally. For those seeking a simple, stylish tank protection solution for their specific CBR model, this offers a durable and attractive option.

How to use

Prepare the Surface — Clean your motorcycle's fuel tank thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove all dirt, wax, and grime. Ensure the surface is completely dry before proceeding.
Position and Apply — Carefully align the REVSOSTAR tank protector pad with the fuel tank cap area. Peel back a small section of the adhesive backing and apply the pad slowly, smoothing it down as you go to avoid air bubbles.
Ensure Secure Adhesion — Once positioned, press down firmly on the entire pad for at least 30 seconds. For optimal adhesion, especially in warmer Indian climates, gently warm the edges with a hairdryer and press again.
