How do I choose the right ratchet strap length and hook type?

Measure the distance from your anchor point over the cargo to the opposite anchor, then add slack for the ratchet mechanism. These straps use galvanized iron carabiner hooks, suitable for most standard anchor points on trailers and vehicles. Ensure the hook seats securely without slipping.

What is the difference between working load limit and break strength on a ratchet strap?

Break strength is the maximum force a strap can hold before failing, while working load limit (WLL) is the safe everyday limit — typically about one-third of the break strength. These VIPARSPECTRA straps have a WLL of 75 lbs per strap, so always size your tie-downs by their WLL to stay within a safe margin during transport and braking.

Are these ratchet straps suitable for use in India?

Yes, these straps are suitable for use in India. They are made from durable, tear-resistant polypropylene rope and rust-proof galvanized iron hooks, designed to withstand humidity and general wear. All customs duties and GST are included in the price, and they are shipped via ExpressBox tracked delivery.

How do I use the VIPARSPECTRA ratchet tie down straps?

Clip one hook to an anchor point, thread the rope through the ratchet mechanism, and attach the second hook. Pull the loose rope end to tighten and lock the strap. To release, depress the lever recessed in the ratchet mechanism while holding the loose rope end.

Can I use these straps for lifting heavy objects?

No, these ratchet tie down straps are designed for cargo securement only and are not suitable for overhead lifting or rigging. Always ensure you do not exceed the stated working load limit (WLL) of 75 lbs per strap to maintain safety.

What is the best way to secure cargo with these straps?

Attach hooks to secure anchor points on your vehicle or trailer, then route the strap over the cargo. Thread the rope through the ratchet mechanism and pull to tension. Ensure the cargo is stable and the straps are taut to prevent shifting during transit.

Why choose this product

Verified Load Capacity & Durability

These VIPARSPECTRA ratchet tie-down straps are built for demanding use, offering a verified load capacity of up to 300 lbs per 4-pack. Unlike many local alternatives that may overstate their strength or use lower-grade materials, these straps feature tear-resistant polypropylene rope and rust-proof galvanized iron hooks. The reinforced metal gears ensure a secure grip and reliable tensioning, crucial for safely transporting goods. Imported from authorized US retailers and authorized brand partners, they provide a trusted solution for securing valuable cargo.

Ideal for Indian Conditions & Use Cases

These straps are well-suited for India's climate, with rust-resistant hooks and durable rope that withstand humidity and heat. They are perfect for securing items on tempos, two-wheelers, or in trucks for local transport, as well as for camping and outdoor gear. While they are excellent for general cargo, those needing straps specifically for overhead rigging or lifting heavy machinery should consult specialized industrial equipment, as these are designed for securement only.

How to use

Attach Hooks — Clip one galvanized iron hook to a secure anchor point on your vehicle, trailer, or frame. Ensure the anchor point is sturdy and can safely support the load.
Thread & Tension Rope — Thread the polypropylene rope through the ratchet mechanism. Pull the loose end of the rope to tighten the strap over your cargo. Continue pulling until the desired tension is achieved.
Lock Mechanism — Operate the ratchet mechanism to lock the strap in place. The autolock feature ensures a secure grip, preventing the strap from loosening under tension. Repeat for all straps.
Release Strap — To release tension, depress the lever recessed in the ratchet mechanism while holding the loose rope end. This disengages the lock, allowing you to loosen and remove the strap.
