Ensure Material Dryness, Prevent Damage
The RDINSCOS MT18 Wood Moisture Meter Tester is designed for accurate moisture detection in various materials. With its electrical resistance principle and a clear LCD display, it helps identify hidden moisture in wood, paper, and building materials, preventing damage and ensuring optimal conditions for projects. It includes a protective cap and carrying case for portability.
This meter offers specific measurement ranges: 4-75% for wood, 4-90% for paper, and 0.2-24% for walls. It features a resolution of 0.1% and an accuracy of ±0.5%. The integrated electrode pins are 10mm long. Auto power-off activates after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life, and a low battery icon indicates when replacement is needed.
Ideal for checking firewood before burning to ensure efficient combustion and reduced smoke, or for verifying wood readiness before painting, woodworking, or renovations. It supports various wood types including softwood and hardwood. The device is powered by 2 AAA batteries (included) and offers a data hold function for easy reading of recorded measurements.
Accurate Moisture Detection for Projects
The RDINSCOS MT18 Wood Moisture Meter uses precise electrical resistance to measure moisture levels from 4-75% in wood, 4-90% in paper, and 0.2-24% in walls. Its ±0.5% accuracy and 0.1% resolution help prevent costly damage from hidden dampness. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast, professional woodworker, or homeowner, this meter ensures materials are ready for their next step, from firewood preparation to construction and renovation. The included carrying case and batteries make it ready for immediate use.
Who It's For & Who Should Skip It
This meter is ideal for anyone needing to assess moisture content in wood, paper, or building materials. Homeowners checking for potential leaks, woodworkers preparing lumber, and individuals selecting firewood will find it invaluable. It's particularly useful for identifying dampness before it causes structural issues or affects project quality. However, if you require specialized calibration for specific exotic wood species beyond the provided groups or need to measure moisture in soil or grains, a dedicated instrument for those applications would be more suitable.
