• Mount the Clamp — Position the POWERTEC 20318 toggle clamp on your workbench, jig, or fixture. Align the mounting slots on the ductile iron base with your desired location and secure it using appropriate bolts (M8 recommended, not included).
• Position Workpiece — Place the workpiece to be clamped within the clamp's range, ensuring it is properly aligned with your work surface or jig. The clamp's throat depth accommodates materials up to approximately 2.56 inches (6.5 cm).
• Engage Clamp — Pull the ergonomic handle upwards to activate the push/pull action. Continue moving the handle until the plunger firmly secures the workpiece. The quick-release lever locks in place, providing a stable hold.
• Release Workpiece — To release the workpiece, simply push the handle downwards. The 180-degree handle opening allows for maximum clearance, making it easy to remove or reposition your material quickly and efficiently.
