• Ensure your ceramic piece (greenware or bisque-fired) is clean and dry. For easier brush cleanup, dip your brush in soapy water or fabric softener before loading it with wax resist. — Prepare Your Piece
• Using a brush, apply the wax resist to the areas you wish to keep free of glaze or to create designs. This protects the clay surface from glaze absorption and defines negative space. — Apply Wax Resist
