How do PChero Solar Tea Lights work and turn on automatically?

These solar tea lights feature a built-in light sensor. Set the bottom switch to ON before charging. When placed in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours, they charge their internal NiMh battery. As daylight fades, the sensor detects low light and automatically turns the LED candles on, providing a warm glow for up to 8 hours.

Are these solar tea lights suitable for use in India's climate?

Yes, the PChero Solar Tea Lights have an IP65 waterproof rating, designed to resist rain, moisture, and dust. This makes them suitable for outdoor use in India's varied climate, including monsoon seasons. However, avoid submerging them in water or leaving them in standing water for prolonged periods.

What is the difference between these and standard tea lights?

These PChero solar tea lights are larger, measuring 2 inches in diameter and 2.3 inches in height, offering a fuller visual presence than standard 1.5-inch tea lights. They are also solar-powered, flameless, and waterproof, providing a reusable and safe alternative to traditional wax candles.

How long do the solar tea lights last on a full charge?

After a full charge of 6-8 hours in direct sunlight, each PChero solar tea light can glow for up to 8 hours. Actual runtime may vary depending on sunlight intensity, season, temperature, and placement of the solar panel.

Can I use these solar tea lights indoors?

While primarily designed for outdoor use, these solar tea lights can be used indoors if placed near a sunny window where they can receive adequate direct sunlight for charging. Ensure they are not placed where they might be submerged or exposed to excessive moisture indoors.

How do I ensure the best performance from these solar lights?

For optimal performance, ensure the bottom switch is set to 'ON' before charging. Place the solar panel in an area that receives strong, direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. Clean the solar panel occasionally to remove dust or debris that might hinder charging efficiency.
