Preserve Your Down Gear's Warmth & Performance
Nikwax Down Wash is a specialty cleaner designed to safely clean down-filled apparel and gear. Unlike household detergents that can leave water-attracting residues and damage down, this easy wash-in application improves the water repellency of all types of down-fill as well as the outer fabric. It maintains the loft and insulating properties of down-filled items, making it ideal for jackets, gear, and bedding.
This formula is recommended for use on items with down-fill, down blends, or water-resistant down. Nikwax products are PFAS-free, water-based, non-persistent, and contain no optical brighteners or added scent, ensuring machine wash safety. One full cap is approximately 50ml, making it a concentrated and effective solution for preserving your outdoor gear.
Imported for discerning Indian customers who value authentic performance. All customs duties and GST are included in the listed price. Delivery via ExpressBox with tracking, arriving within 12-14 days. Experience the difference of specialized care for your down items.
Specialized Care for Down Gear
Nikwax Down Wash is engineered specifically for down-filled items, a critical distinction from general laundry detergents. Household cleaners can strip natural oils from down, leaving it clumpy and less effective at trapping heat. This specialty formula cleans without damaging the down's structure or leaving behind residues that attract moisture. It actively works to restore the down's natural loft and loft-trapping ability, ensuring your jackets and sleeping bags provide maximum warmth and comfort. By preserving the down's integrity, it extends the lifespan of your valuable outdoor gear, making it a wise investment for any adventurer.
Who Should Use It & Who Should Skip
This product is ideal for anyone with down-filled jackets, sleeping bags, vests, or bedding who wants to maintain peak performance and longevity. If you engage in outdoor activities, travel to cooler regions, or simply want to ensure your insulated gear provides optimal warmth, Nikwax Down Wash is for you. Skip this product if your items are filled with synthetic insulation or if you are looking for a general-purpose laundry detergent for everyday clothing. For synthetic fills, a different Nikwax product is recommended.
